The Marcia dei Sarmati (Sarmati's March) is a fantastic recreational-motor march of 7.5 - 13.5 - 19.5 km that takes place on the second Sunday of June each year; it starts in Stra, also involves the Vigonovo area, and passes through the parks of famous villas on the Riviera del Brenta.

The characteristic element of this now famous and entertaining recreational-motor event is the crossing of the parks of no less than five marvellous Venetian villas - Villa Pisani, Villa Foscarini Rossi, Villa Loredan, Villa De Lazara Pisani La Barbariga, Villa Sagredo, and many other special passages such as Sarmazza Park, the footbridge over the waterway, Villa Vecchio Platano, Brenta, Piovego, Naviglio, and Tergola Idrovia. Along the route, participants encounter figures in Venetian costumes in the parks of the villas!

But it is not just a race! Participants can also enjoy a great treasure hunt with thousands of prizes based on finding, collecting and exchanging point cards.

And if you don't actively participate in the march, it's still an enjoyable and fun event you can attend!
